Christ the Redeemer and Tijuca Forest
Christ the Redeemer, considered as one of the 7 wonders of the world, was
inaugurated on 12th October 1931. The engineer was Heitor de Costa Silva.
Situated at 710 meters, the visitor has an amazing 360° view over
the city Rio de Janeiro

Petrópolis
The name Petrópolis was given in honor of the two emperors of Brazil Pedro I and II.
In 1822 Pedro I stayed for one night in the Farm of Padre Correia.
He fell in love with the climate and the beauty of this region, bought the Farm
of Córrego Seco and gave it the name 'Fazenda Imperial da Concórdia'.

In the 18th. gold was transported from Minas Gerais on the path 'Caminho
do Ouro da Piedade' until Paraty. The city got the second biggest port of
the country.

From there, you will take a schooner and cruise to the beautiful Ilha Grande Bay,
stopping at 2 different beaches.

After lunch, there will still be time to explore the Island.

influence, but other parts of Brazil are seeming to be like a big melting pot

We will see it in the show represented with music and dances from whole
Brazil and on the end with samba and carnival costumes of Rio de Janeiro.
